Violet received her first camera at the age of nine and has been photographing ever since. She inherited her love of photography from her father, a photography enthusiast who always carried his 35mm camera everywhere the family went. You could say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
Violet was photo editor and photography club president in high school and eventually received her B.A. in Fine-Art Photography from Columbia College where she was a dean's list recipient. She exhibited her elegant black and white still-lifes at local shows, galleries, and cafes before joining the photography and medical graphics staff at North Shore University Health System (formally Evanston Northwestern Healthcare). Motherhood called and Violet took a break to focus on her newest muses, her children. Frustrated with the lack of affordable and high quality portrait services, Violet decided to launch her own photography business in 2008. She is now dedicated to photographing your family or work space in their best light.
